Nemeos - Designing an Innovative NFT Credit Sales Solution

Context – Empowering Web3 Users with Credit for NFTs

Nemeos is a startup focused on developing a credit solution for Web3 assets, particularly NFTs. They aim to allow users to acquire non-fungible tokens without paying the full amount upfront. Nemeos purchases the NFTs from marketplaces and rents them to users, who can then buy them in installments. In case of non-repayment, Nemeos reclaims and resells the digital asset.

Objective – Designing and Prototyping a Credit Solution for NFT Rentals

To convince investors of the project’s viability, Nemeos needed to create an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). Ekino was chosen to assist Nemeos in technical design, prototyping, and the recruitment of a CTO, as well as transitioning the prototype into a functional product.

Challenge – Building the Optimal Architecture

Ekino faced the challenge of creating or adapting a standard NFT to allow rentals, a function not supported by typical standards such as ERC721, while ensuring smooth integration into users’ digital wallets. This technical challenge was critical to align the solution with Nemeos’ specific functional and financial constraints.

Our Solution – Proof of Concept Development and Handover

Ekino’s involvement focused on three major actions:

1. Solution Benchmarking: We evaluated various existing solutions, analyzing their pros and cons to help the client choose the most suitable option.
2. Development of the Proof of Concept: We created a prototype based on the chosen target architecture, consisting of 8 smart contracts and a user-friendly interface. The solution, designed for easy integration with multiple marketplaces, was initially deployed on Polygon and validated through demos.
3. CTO Recruitment and Support: We assisted Nemeos in recruiting a CTO specializing in Web3 technologies to lead the project’s industrialization within the company.

Results – A Successful Proof of Concept and Clear Vision for Blockchain Adoption

The Proof of Concept was a success, demonstrating the feasibility of the proposed solution. With the recruitment of a specialized CTO, Nemeos is now well-positioned to continue the industrialization of this innovative project.
