The business opportunity

After supporting Nexity for 2 years on the B2B tools development for employees, the real estate specialist Group entrusted us with their smart home project.

In order to offer a premium offer to its customers, and to stand out from the competition, Nexity wanted to develop a new service by relying on the expertise of ekino teams, in consulting, design, technology and innovation.

Also addressing a market demand, the Eugénie project allows the real estate group to take its first steps in the Smart City field.

Our support

Through a collaborative creation approach, we conducted several workshops with Nexity's teams to better understand the needs and challenges of the real estate business, both in the functional and design areas.

We have co-created a mobile app that allows users to use connected devices simply, as well as to facilitate communication between residents and co-owners. The application also provides a service announcements feature for residents and city news which allows to animate a neighborhood life in addition to home automation.

Throughout the process, we have supported Nexity's teams on several levers:

- Benchmark of usage trends

- Elaboration of personae

- Feature definition and prioritisation

- Co-design workshops with the Nexity project team

- Work in collaboration with the technical team to find common solutions

- Design of the wireframes according to the personae (pains, needs and levers)

- Design of UI screens & graphics

The creation of this product has delivered 7 connected residences with 164 housings with our home automation application.

With 50% of occupants who have activated the home automation application, an average age of 33 years old and regular weekly use, Nexity has won its bet of connected housing and has distinguished itself by offering its customers a premium and simple offer, all in a real innovation process.
